Rumiana Mondeshka was born on 27th November 1969 in the ancient sub-Balkan town of Troyan.
She completed a degree in “Art and applied photography" in Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” as an “Artist photographer”. Her photos have been published in leading publications dedicated to the photographic art. She actively collaborates with her works to editions of “Svatba” magazine, “9 mesetsa” magazine, to the only Bulgarian ballet magazine „Art&dance”, as well as to the elegant gourmet edition “Elemag Gourmet”. Her interest is directed to the genre of portrait and landscape whose “language of immediacy” she uses as her inspiration.
Her photography is especially sensitive to the detail and mood of the instant. Mondeshka has an excellent instinct for situation, for “the event in the instant”, which turns her works from ordinary capture of a pose into a thorough visual suggestion reconstructing a story through.
Except in the reportage and event photography, she also expresses herself in the field of portrait photography and landscape. Her portrait pictures are distinguishable with a delicate sense to the internal world of the presented personality and skill to discover the fate secret leaving its traces in the facial features, projected in the expression. The landscape, on the other hand, provoked by the desire to catch the subtle fascination of nature, is a manifestation of her as an artist endowed with an amazing sophistication in finding the blends of beauty, recognizing the uniqueness of “the picture”. No matter whether she is taking panorama sights or contemplating in fruits and flowers, her photos keep the intimacy of a curious and admiring look.
